You can move the Quick Access Toolbar above and below the ribbon. Let’s review what I wrote and I have attached a video describing how you can create several different QAT’s linking those to alternate workspaces. The Quick Access Toolbar is a customizable toolbar that contains a set of commands that are independent of the tab on the ribbon that is currently displayed.
